Content, learning goals
The focus of the second track meeting in the academic year 2023/24 is twofold. In the morning, PhD students get the opportunity to present their own research and receive and provide feedback on each other’s research presentations and papers. If you want to seize this opportunity, send a (partial) paper draft OR a title and short abstract (max 250 words) in case of a conference or idea presentation before May 5th to Antje Schmitt and Hanneke Grutterink (a.schmitt@rug.nl; h.grutterink@uva.nl). In addition, feel free to let us know if there are any ideas or questions that you would like to bring into the interactive discussion and Q&A, and contact us in case there are any questions prior to the meeting.
In the afternoon, Dr. Lara Solms (https://instituteofcoaching.org/author/solms-lara) from the UvA will join us. She will share evidence-based insights from her dissertation on coaching and professional development that she defended last September as well as from her podcast on PhD well-being (https://www.phdunplugged.com). Next, you will reflect as science practitioners on implementing insights from your own research in practice. We will end the day with actively discussing and receiving insights about maintaining and sustaining well-being during the PhD-trajectory.
