Content, learning goals
The first track meeting of the 2026/27 academic year will focus on presentations by KLI PhD candidates. PhD candidates will have the opportunity to share their ongoing research and receive and provide constructive feedback on each other’s presentations and papers.
We welcome different types of presentations depending on participants’ needs, including conference presentations (e.g., practice talks for WAOP), presentations of new research ideas, discussions of methodological or conceptual challenges, and requests for feedback on work in progress.
Participants who wish to present are kindly asked to indicate this shortly after registering. Please send a title and short abstract (max 200 words) in case of a conference or idea presentation OR a full or partial paper draft in case of a paper presentation before October 28th to the teaching staff (a.schmitt@rug.nl and h.grutterink@uva.nl). Please also indicate your preferred presentation duration. In addition to the presentations, there will be ample opportunity for discussion, peer feedback, and questions from the group. Participants are encouraged to submit discussion points or questions in advance.
The meeting aims to provide a supportive environment in which PhD candidates can practice presentations, discuss research challenges, exchange ideas across projects, and strengthen their academic network within the KLI community.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions prior to the meeting.
