Ph.D. students are expected to (informally) present their own research once a year in these meetings if possible, and they will receive feedback from KLI faculty and fellow Ph.D. students. Participants can for example practice a presentation they will give at a conference, present research ideas, preliminary data, or discuss a paper they are currently writing and get feedback from colleagues.
Participants will be asked to indicate whether they would like to receive feedback on concrete matters (like potential follow-up analyses, alternative experimental designs, or advice on how to address unexpected findings) for which they will be given more time to present and have a discussion, or whether their main aim is to inform the group about a new line of research or their project in general (for instance when they just got started) and for which a blitz presentation is appropriate.
